The project
Farm context, financial analysis, and software.
ACDS is an independently developed agricultural decision-support project in Ontario. Practical experience in crop and livestock farming informs how the tools handle operating capacity, costs, financing pressure, and uncertainty.
That combination of practical farm work, agricultural finance, and hands-on software development shaped ACDS: the product is built around the questions that arise before a farm commits real capital, not around a generic corporate finance template.
Why ACDS was built
Disciplined capital analysis should not depend on access to a custom model.
A major equipment or farmland decision often arrives as separate dealer quotations, operating estimates, lender calculations, farm records, and spreadsheets. ACDS was built to put those pieces on one transparent basis—connecting long-term economics, operating fit, cash pressure, uncertainty, and supporting evidence in a reviewable Decision File. The goal is to make a rigorous decision structure accessible to more farms and professionals, not only organizations with private models. ACDS does not replace farmer or professional judgment; it gives that judgment a faster, clearer record to work from.

Equipment and farmland analyzers are live. Automated model checks pass. The public validation register separately identifies the model areas that have not yet been independently reconciled, professionally reviewed, or field-tested. ACDS publishes those limitations because trust requires users to know what has—and has not—been verified.
