Why this result?

At 5,000 acres, S7 900 costs $5.34 less per acre than X9 1100. All three options fit the starting harvest window.

Ownership costs include operating costs, resale, and the return required on capital. Loan payments are assessed separately in the full report.

The starting example uses 5,000 acres, 40 working days, and a $45.72/acre custom-harvest benchmark. Changes to all three assumptions are combined. Adjusting one keeps your other settings; Reset restores the starting example.

Machine prices, resale values, annual repair budgets, financing terms, and work rates stay fixed. Machine hours follow acreage. The custom crew’s harvesting time scales with acreage, plus a fixed two-day start delay. Days shown include machine downtime or the custom start delay, at 10 working hours per day.

Harvest timing is checked separately from cost. Losses from finishing late are not estimated. These demonstration figures do not assess your farm or change your saved work.

Before you start

A few useful answers.

What is ACDS?

ACDS helps you compare equipment and farmland decisions using your own figures. It brings the costs, cash requirements, assumptions, and risks into a decision file you can review with your lender or advisor.

Is the result financial advice or an appraisal?

No. ACDS structures and challenges a decision; it does not replace an appraisal, approval, accounting opinion, or professional judgment. You remain responsible for verifying the inputs and deciding what to do.

Where is my farm information stored?

My Farm syncs to your ACDS account when you sign in. Detailed analyzer inputs and projects stay in the current browser. Download an editable backup before clearing browser data or moving an analysis to another device.

What does beta mean?

ACDS is still being tested and improved. Automated model checks pass, while some professional review and field testing remain incomplete. The public validation register shows what has been checked and what is still outstanding.

Can I review the decision with my lender or advisor?

Yes. You can print or save the report and share the assumptions, scenarios, input-quality summary, and conclusion. Reviewer names entered in a project are user-provided and are not authenticated by ACDS.
